Last week Ambassador David Shear stopped by to discuss the U.S.-Vietnam relationship, including recent developments on trade, human rights concerns, and prospects for a strategic partnership in the context of common interests in regional stability. Ambassador Shear emphasized that since the normalization of relations with Vietnam in 1995, the depth and breadth of international connections has steadily expanded.
