During this week’s American – Australian Leadership Dialogue CSIS had the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Tyson Sara, Australian Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Pacific. Sara, who has a portfolio including East Timor, discussed perspectives on the recent election there as well as Australian attitudes toward the Australia – U.S. alliance and the evolving security architecture in the Asia-Pacific. CSIS Pacific Partner Initiative co-leader Ernie Bower had the honor of interviewing Assistant Secretary Tyson for this Dialog.
